THE DEVIL OF MILAN
SYNOPSIS
Sonia (Regula Grauwiller) has had a rough time recently: Hermarriage with her blue blood husband, Frédéric Forster (David Rott)was a major catastrophe and even after the divorce, she still fears him. An involuntary LSD trip is still giving her constant flashbacks and seeing the colors and hearing the sounds, makes her want to stay under the radar.
Rather unexpected, she is offered a job as a physical therapist at a new spa hotel in Val Grisch in Unterengadin. Sonia immediately takes to the young owner, despite the fact that she can’t really explain her financial situation. The hotel is barely occupied and doesn’t even come close to covering its enormous running costs. At first Sonia is focused on fighting against her unexplained flashbacks and doesn’t realize that the attitude of the local villagers is hostile towards the hotel workers. Val Grisch was never a tourist destination and they would like it to stay that way. It’s only when unexplainable things keep happening, does she slowly wake up. When she finally hears of the old Engadiner saga about the Devil of Milan, she realizes that something here isn’t right – the latent danger grows ever closer to the young woman.
