I AM THE KEEPER

SYNOPSIS

Goalie has just been released from prison after spending a year inside for keeping his mouth shut for his best buddy Ueli. He stands outside the jail waiting for Ueli – in vain. “No big deal, just a temporary setback,” he says. It's all roses from here on out.

When Regula's boyfriend hits her, Goalie gets his big break. He takes her to Spain to a buddy's house. For a short time, they're happy there together. But his past catches up to him and threatens his newfound love. Regula suspects his best friend and buddies are taking advantage of him, and makes Goalie face up to reality. She thinks he's got the wrong friends.

Goalie has to go home. He wants to know the truth. What he finds out is a blow to him. It seems Ueli was the one who betrayed him, for his own advantage.

Deeply hurt and disappointed, Goalie turns his back on Schummertal and moves to Berne. But not without first asking Regula to come with…
